"Coming out to my Father"
A limited edition print by Paula Varjack

The basis is an email written by Paula's father, in reply to an email from her coming out to him, when she was 26 years old.
The piece presents the email verbatim, the only changes being three names, the email addresses and the font.
Paula was inspired to create the work, when her father passed away.
This artwork looks forward to a time and place where "coming out" is a non-event, greeted with acceptance rather than tolerance.
It represents to Paula so much of her father's character, their relationship and how it supported her to hold her difference in the world.
It is presented framed, in a choice of black or walnut frame, 20 x 20 cm.
(The black is more Paula's
style, the walnut more her father's)
